New Contract Award – Crewe Enhancements Phase 2

Jamieson Contracting are pleased to announce we have been appointed by Network Rail to deliver the design and construction of a new steel-frame workshop and stores building at their Crewe depot.

Located at Crewe High Output Operational Base (HOOB), the contract provides workshops, stores, a welding bay, open plan mezzanine area and offices for the Network Rail High Output Team. One of five teams across the UK, they operate 24/7, carrying out vital track renewal work to keep the railway running.

Jamieson’s are providing a full turnkey solution on the project, starting with demolition and foundation construction, and continuing through to the final fit-out, commissioning and external works. Off-site manufacturing of the steel frame will provide a quick and safe construction process and has reduced the programme period in comparison with traditional construction methods.

The Jamieson Team are currently developing the design for Network Rail approval and construction works will start on site before April 2023.
