Jamieson Contracting were appointed by Network Rail to complete the removal and replacement of the roof cladding on a live and operational facility.
The current roof cladding contained asbestos, requiring a stringent health and safety measures. Following its removal, Jamieson’s reclad the building with a new cladding with fire resistant insulation to improve the building thermal comfort.
Our works were completed in a very busy live industrial environment requiring close liaison with Network Rail’s management team to plan and deliver the works with minimal impact to the facilitates operations. The workshop contained specialist machinery and plant, which required protection from the construction works, particularly when the roof was removed.
To ensure the facility could remain operational, Jamieson’s provided strict segregation measures and planning of deliveries outside of peak hours.
Jamieson’s delivered this project on time, to budget and to extremely high quality standards.
